Back in the early '90's I wrote letters to all the oldest Honda
dealers in America looking to buy parts. I got an internal copy of
the dealers lists and their assignment number. Looking toward the
earliest number would refer to the longest in business. I bought out
Honda of Santa Ana and a couple others.
The problem even today with Honda knowing their inventory is that
they still get returned merchandise from dealers, that's why items we
tried to order last week are discontinued become available in 3
months.
D. was an importer of Honda parts back in the 70's. He would bypass
Honda and buy from the suppliers and the parts were OEM in original
bags at quite a discount. I delete Don's actual name as there are no
more Honda 600 parts and he doesn't want to be bothered with such
things, that and I bought out his entire stock about 7 years ago.
Then the question would be: why would you want to pay $15.00each x4
brake pad from Honda (last price known) or buy an oem headgasket as
the last ones were graphite coated when you can buy one from Bill C.
for a fraction of the cost. Last time I ordered master cylinder check
valves I got all 50 I ordered. I hope a big pile of parts turns up
soon like the one from M.Kefurt @ The Honda Car Club of N. Hollywood,
no longer there. He had a ton of parts for 50 cents on the dollar,
but before I could get any he vanished, I hope someone got his stuff.

Not to lure in the hopeful but there is said to be a guy in Canada that
bought up a bunch of parts. True/False, who knows but yea know there are
some out there resting in the homes of past owners. Just waiting for some
one to ask the question, "Got any parts for that Honda 600 you used to own?"
