N360 transmission

The car tries to go in reverse, but only grinds. I noticed someone
talking about a roll pin, what does it look like and where does it
go.

The roll pin goes through the linkage at the floor to lock it to the
transmission selector shaft.
The reverse idler gear is probably the problem. It is located within
the dipstick/speedo drive cover and easy to inspect.
