The correct answer for the second question is that the shorter of the two
Steering Rack end assemblies is for the Coupe, the width of the Coupe is
less than that of the Sedan so it uses the shorter of the two ends. The
length of the Coupe's shaft is 1/4 inch shorter than the Sedan.
Important issues for the rack end assemblies is the ball ends. However
the Lock washer is the most critical of the components when renewing the
rack.
