A600

Post by micromotor »

For anyone interested, I am making a mold of my dash pad and casting a
new one. My mold will be good for about 25-30 quality castings. If you
are in need of a dash email me. I'm not looking to make any big bucks
but will need to cover the cost of the materials and shipping. I will
post pics A.S.A.P. I will be making molds for other parts too.
I am looking for new molding and window rubber. Can anyone point me to
it?

Yes, if your talking about the windshield seals for the AN600 Sedan and
AZ600 Coupe, I have both, and rear hatch for the coupe, along with the roof
weather strips for the Coupe and sway bar bushings for both Sedan and Coupe
including end rubber bushings. I also have both Sedan and Coupe original
door weather stripping made up. The Coupe door weather strip has 5
different molds and has to be hand built. Same is with the Sedan weather
door strip although it only has 4 molds. The molds are only half of the
problem, users have to be cautioned to put them in with out stressing the
rubber or it will crack within a year. My supplier has a compound that is
UV resistant and all the corners are formed to the windshield size. They
also have a Chrome Myler insert or Black rubber lock strips for the
windshield seals that look very good.
What did you need?
Which Dash molds are you making? I think there is a good number of Coupe
owners (me included) that would like to see a cover made for the Coupe dash.
And the thin plastic covers to the Coupe rear seat latch and the tail light
inside cover. But, if your looking to make the Sedan dash, I don't think
there is much calling as these can be recovered without much trouble.
Although the had grips two sides both different are like looking for hens
teeth.
I tried to get some Coupe dash skins made up and found there was not many
that wanted to have them made. Again, tooling up for the task is the cost
that keeps most away from the project.
But go for it, we need more owners to start making parts so all of us can
keep our Honda 600's on the road. The more parts that become available the
more cars will be restored and need more parts.....

if you're going to make AZ600 door weather-strip make sure is not to wide and aloud you to closed the door without slamming the door 2 or 3 times. I purchase some 2 years ago and they are to wide and I still have to slam the door shot.
