Finally got it home

Post by Don »

Hello I posted a couple of weeks ago for the first time. I am the guy
that works for Honda. I have talked to my Japanese associates and yes
its true parts are going to Japan for these things not coming here. I
told one man who has one of the largest collections of parts for Honda
motorcycles up to 1975 in the world in Japan. He was excited as a
friend of his is looking for side marker lights and mine came with an
extra set. Now for the car I am very torn on if its good enough to
restore. I am worried about the rust issue I have with it. Both
rockers are rusted pretty bad. the rear valance and the two rear
corners are also bad. My question is this is there anyone out there
that produces patch panels for these cars? Mine is a 1972 AN600. It
would be a shame to part this car out. The only missing parts are two
hubcaps and one 600 emblem for one front fender. The steering wheel
is broken and the spare tire pan is rusted beyound help. I am pretty
sure these are common ailments for these vehicles,......... Myabe
some insight?

Don;
Not really, there are a number of parts cars in the southern part of CA
and AZ that are in much better condition.
