engine / transmission assembly weight ??

Hi, anyone have an idea of the weight on a 600 powerplant? Complete
with clutch and generator. I'm thinking of selling one and need an idea
of weight for shipping. Thanks ..... Frank

id say 175-250lbs I was able to pick mine up with one other person and
put it on the back of a truck and im not that big of person. that was
with the subframe attached also.

213 pounds with starter attached. The starter is 11.4 pounds by itself.
You will have to ship it freight such as Matheson or? but it's too
heavy for FedEx or UPS.

No, close but not quite. Dry it comes in at 273 Lbs.

I hate to disagree, but you also have to add the box, I never got any
lower than 40 Lbs on the wooden box.

He only asked the weight of the powerplant and not a box or pallet!
Furthermore according to the big blue shop manual, page 4-1,
Technical data, weight of a Honda -N600 engine is 212.7 lbs including
transmission and differential. But below that spec looks to be a typo
where it should read -A600 reads -600 coming in at 251.4 lbs. The
AA600 engine's gotta weigh more, yo.
