1972 Cannonball Run N600

I dont know how many have already heard about this but it was news to me.
I bought my first Z600 yesterday to accompany my two other N600's and with it came an envelope of papers.
In it was two full size glossy black and white pictures of two racers next to their Z600 with racing signs all over it. After looking all of this up I found that in one of the original "Cannonball Run's", (there were only four I believe) in 1972 two guys ran a Honda Z600 from New York City to Los Angeles.
Pretty cool little fun fact!
How many times do you think they had to stop and stretch?

I just noticed - I'm an idiot - the title is supposed to say Z600, they raced a Coupe not a sedan! Yes, I will try to scan them soon, just moved to a new place, got to get organized - Steve M. no need to ask, I already owe you some scans of the window sticker, you get dibs on these to if you want them for your site.

Ok thanks. 300dpi would be cool. Greyscale if there is no color, Color
scan if there is. Big files are OK.

Actually it looks like the Honda 600 did come in last. I found that one can
sort that table on that wikipedia page by clicking on the icon in the title
of any of the columns. If you sort by "place", and then by "run", it gives
a clearer picture. The Honda 600 is at the bottom of the 3rd run in 34th.
Unfortunately timekeeping stopped at the 26th place car, a Corvette at 57
hours, 19 minutes, which was 20 hours behind the winner. I guess the judges
then departed for the bar.

In the pictures I will soon scan, there is a brief description of the gentlmen racing, the car and their sponsors. It states that they finished in 71 hours and 56 minutes. There also is a statement from one of their sponsors that they sent out to their employees that also states and confirms this time. Also said is that they set a record for fastest time ever in a two cylinder car for the run. I would bet the only time ever in a 2 cylinder.
