Zay thanks for that tip.  I'm not too smart as I got eyes full twice.  Had goggles but didn't use them.  Dang it that stuff was hotter than it used to be.
   I'm saving all you guys tips in a folder because y'all as a group have more knowledge than all the books.
   I probably didn't do a very good job of cleaning as I didn't have too much cleaner and didn't want to drop everything and make a 20+ mile round trip.

I know this thread is more than a year old but does anyone have a Rebuilt Carb for sale The accelerator pump on mine needs replacing and havent had much luck in finding one.

This answer is even older: Try writing this guy, who reproduced and sold these on ebay in early 2007.  He is/was also a forum member.  Write Bruce at theenginebuilder@...

In Australia I've used this company for reconditioning ball joints that are no longer available or too expensive to buy new.
I didnt need to take the ball joints out of the control arms.
