I just wanna post my new coupe

After being without a Honda 600 for about a year I have accumulated 2
600's. The first one, a sedan, was given to me through channels by a
friend who passed away. The evil son would not let me have the car but
the good son stepped in, got the car and sold it to me for $300. I had
rebuilt the engine & brakes 2 years previous. I have been driving that
one.
Last week I got a 1972 600 coupe another running car that I had rebuilt
the engine and brakes about 3 years ago. It came with parts and new
tires. It is yellow and only needs minor body work and repaint. I will
be driving it as soon as I fix the brake booster.
Eventually I will work on my Honda s500 and various other projects that
are here.

I'm looking forward to see that S500. That's a rare item, but any
idea how rare it actually is compared to S600s?

According to what I have read about s500 & s600. S500 came out in
1963 & 64 and there were only 1364 made. S600 came out in 1964 and
ran until 1966 when the s800 came out. I think there were 9500 or so
s600's made. My first s600 was serial number 9285 coincidentally
AS285 is the serial number sequence for s600.
When I bought my s500 I contacted Don Laughton who used to import
parts for s600 and he said there was only 3 he knew of in the USA.
When I asked a supplier in Japan he said there is over 20 s500's
known in Japan. I am pretty sure there are alot of s600's around and
Mike & I find them almost frequently. S800's are the one to buy if
you want a dependable driving car. Easier to get parts, big
following, high value. Restore an s800 and have a piece of
Racing/Honda history that will live on.
The cheapest s600 I ever bought was for $250.00 and was in San Jose
Ca. The most expensive s600 I ever bought was $2500.00 and was from
Randy Mings (Tim's uncle). He owned 3, a '64 and 2 '65's. The white
one, the last one I bought from him is the one that is the AutoPhyle
Magazine of 1993. Randy was a great salesman. He always told me "You
Neeeeeeeeed this car" You Neeeeeeed these parts". I ended up with 13
transmissions and 2 large truck loads of parts. When I thought I
would never own another S car, I sold all the parts on eBay. Bummer,
I need some back !

This will be an interesting adventure. I'd love to see photos of this
S500. I imagine it looking identical to the S600 and that the only
difference is the displacement. Am I wrong? Are you a member of
Japanese Nostalgic Cars? It would add some presence to their Honda
section which is really dominated by Toyota and Datsun/Nissan.
