Rear fenderwells on Z600s

What are people doing to fix rusted rear fenderwells?
I want to cut out the rust and make a metal replacement piece. We're
not strangers to metal working, but making a compound curved piece
like that may be really tough.
I want to do it "right", and not use a lot of composite filler.
Any ideas/comments?

Have you considered removing the wells from a badly treated low rust
body? Contact me off-line if you are interested.
