I'm new to the Honda 600 scene.... just bought a '72 600Z Coupe.

Hello,
My name is Mark and I live in central WI. I have been looking for a Z
coupe for a long time and finally found one on ebay at a decent price.
Well, I won the auction and brought it home last Thursday. It was better
than I had expected it to be. It has 39,000 original miles and is orange
in color. The interior is in what I call great condition for the cars
age. It's had one respray back in '91 but it needs some minor rust
repair in the lower rear 1/4's (bubbling) along with minor surface rust
here and there.
There is a minor brake issue that has to be resolved before it can be
driven on a regular basis. I'm looking forward to taking it to some
local car shows this summer and just having fun with it. I also hope to
get to know some of the other 600 owners here on this board. I think
this will be good time.

Welcome Mark and glad to see you on the forums.  The People here know so much and the amount of info is the best.  I had my engine redone last year and doing a paint job this year.  body work and paint is the pits.  You may fine the bubbleing Paint to be a problem with holes or a larger hole that was filled.. "hope not"
I owned a yellow coupe in 72 and loved it so now I own another one and I do enjoy driving it around.  When I take my Grandchild out she likes to wave at all the people that look.

I have too many irons in the fire to do much lately on my little sedan but I did paint the hood with John Deere Yellow and I really like it.  Have to sand down more paint chips in old paint and then get someone else to spray it.  Almost croaked with mast on over the o2 hose just doing the hood.
      Went to give it a little run one day and forgot to latch the hood down, I was still in third gear and not going very fast when it came up.  Busted my windshield right over the inspection sticker.  The runs are down low so it doesn't bother vision.
  It did make me say gosh darn when it happened.
    You are right about the knowledge on this forum.  Us newcomers to the 600 would be lost without them.  Heck, the one I have is the only one I have ever seen.

It's good to hear from other board members so quickly. I live in Stevens Point, WI, right at the intersection of U.S. Hwy 10 and I-39. I will be coming down your way on June 30th to attend a national Mini meet in Winona, MN as we also have a 1963 Austin Mini Cooper that I take to shows and drive for fun. Maybe we'll see you soon.

This message board is working out quite well. It's good to fall in with a group of like enthusiasts. I know this all too well from participating in the Mini Mania message board for the last nine years. We also have a 1963 Austin Mini Cooper that we've owned for the last eight years and enjoy very much. I'll bet your grand daughters arm gets pretty tired from all the waving because alot of people look at these tiny cars. Cruise nights are fun too.
