Junk in fuel,,

Post by zayjspeed »

-Hi
I have been cleaning and lining gas tanks since the 70's it is a big deal with bikes and these cars. It is the best thing that can be done to make them stabile. The best stuff to use I think is this liner from the "Northern" company the other thing that goes very wrong especially with the 600 is not just the fuels / additives but the gas tanks are thin and flex, expand and contract, if bumped they kinda dent in than pop back out to regular shape.
If you use "Kream" tank liner it will shatter, split or pop right off the inside of the tank allowing fuel / water / air to the metal under the liner and will rust fast under the lining, this is very bad and hard to fix.
This is the link to my favorite stuff, the rep. tells me "it is not California Approved" and we are not suposta ship it there, growing up in Fremont, Ca. and hearing that I said right on I will take 2 gallons! It is very good, and the vapors do pack a punch.

If any one would like my instructions on doing a tank I can email them to you, they are a bit different from what is on the can

Jeremy
You can find some brake parts on EBay for sale by a few of the guys that are on the forum here but here is a couple of places to check.
http://www.600miles.com/parts.php?Category=Repro
http://www.honda600shop.com/index.php
And I am sure there is more but these are the ones I use most.  Great people  to buy from
Good luck with your car
