I hope that's a child holding up the shock, otherwise they are 3' long. And by your page, no one would find it unless someone clicked on your Name where it goes to your Yahoo Profile.

Well I got myself a pair of those reproduction shocks. They feel good and do not jar the teeth from my skull, definitely a big difference from my wasted shocks. Installation was easy, the only hard part was getting the old shocks off. I had to pound them off with a hammer and even managed to smash my hand. 30 minutes and a bruised hand later I had them on and went for a drive. I think they work great, I wanted to know if anyone else in the group who bought these shocks had the same good results?

If you jack up the car and remove the wheels, no hammering needed. Remove the tall 12mm nuts, then the washers and wiggle the shocks to get them off the stud. Don't forget when you replace the large washers...cup side goes outward, don't over tighten the stud, it's only 8mm - it will snap off.

I did all of that, but still was froze on to the leafspring shackle. The old shocks had been on the car for a long time and were corroded due to Western Washington weather.

Have you tried my old stand by  PB Blaster?    spray and tap, repeat over and over.  It may take a day or two but it will give it up.  I'm no mechanic but have used this a lot.
