Okay, so I have finally found enough time to dig into my Honda Z600 engine, and as I suspected the cam chain guide rollers and cam chain tensioner slipper have disintegrated, allowing the cam chain to jump the teeth on the timing sprockets. The pistons did touch the intake valves, and may have bent one or both of them, so I will have to address that as well, but the piston was not damaged, so I suspect that it only collided while we were turning the engine over carefully by hand.
I have a number of questions, and would really appreciate any help that any members could provide.
1) Does anyone have the following parts available for sale, or does anyone know of a source for these parts, either NOS (preferable) or good used?
a) Upper cam chain guide roller assembly and pin,
b) cam chain slipper assembly and pins (2),
c) lower cam chain guide roller assembly and pin.
d) complete engine gasket set
e) intake valves
f) are any of these guide roller assemblies or can chain slippers shared from motorcycle applications?
2) The aluminum recesses which holds the pins for the upper guide roller assembly has been elongated. Is it possible to build up this area, or to use a larger pin, or do I need to source a new or good used cylinder block and head assembly? Does anyone have these parts available?
3) Is it possible to replace the lower cam chain guide roller assembly without actually splitting the crankcases? (it does not appear to be possible to do this)
4) Is it possible to replace the roller sprocket only, and leave the arm intact, thereby allowing the replacement to occur without splitting the cases?
I have not yet split the cases, as I have not yet removed the engine from the car, but will try to do that when I get another free day. In the meantime, I would live to start to source the parts.
Thank you in advance for any help or advice which you can offer.

Re: Cam chain slippers and guide roller assembly parts needed. Pleas
Once you split the cases you will have a huge new list of parts you need. There's no motorcycle parts that directly interchange and the lower roller is riveted together and you must split the cases.
I have a shop that welds up and refits the slipper pins and welds the head. It's usually $20 per slot to weld, so you should be able to find it near you too. Sometimes when the slipper drops in to the engine the chain will slice through the front of the cylinders - then you would want to replace the jugs.
