Hi Gang. The weather forecast is looking really fine. The 2011 Great Pacific Northwest Micro-Minicar Extravaganza is coming this weekend !.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-LsB29iDjw
The microcar drive route for Sat. is set. We have three winery stops. Willakenzie, Carlton, and Elk Cove wineries. Lunch stop will be in the Evergreen Space Museum in McMinnville. I can't guarantee Sputnik but you will see a real SR71 Blackbird
http://www.evergreenmuseum.org/#
Expect sunny weather, bring sunscreen and fill up your fuel tank! The Sat. drive departs from the Hotel @ 10 am. The drive is easy 35 miles each way, with plenty of stops, all scenic back roads, 40 mph or so. We have a support rig following for breakdowns. What more to expect : Bring spending change for Wine tasting and Lunch. Most tasting flights are 10-15. The Cosmo Cafe located inside the space Museum has good lunch menu selection and is reasonable. Admission not charged to eat, you can however pay admission to view spacecraft up close or hydrotube out the Boeing 747.
See http://www.mphspecialties.com/ for details and (as always) free registration. This year will be bigger and more fun than last.

Great NW microcar show this weekend
Hi Tom,
I'm excited to meet you. What color is your car? I'll keep my eyes peeled on the Sat. vineyard tour for an errant Honda 600. Visiting the Air and Space museum will be a real treat and if in doubt you can always meet up with us in the "Cosmo Cafe" around 12.30 pm.
How many Honda 600's do you think we can we fit into the Spruce Goose ?
I also fitted a 50mm tailpipe on my KR 200 to take care of that pesky Messerschmitt BF 109 on display
3-2-1 blast off!

Re: Great NW microcar show this weekend
Hi Tom,
We're heading S. from Forest Grove via scenic back roads....starting out headed S. on 47 to Fernhill, then Springhill Rd. the 1st stop is Willakenzie Winery @11- 11.30 am. then S. from there to the Aviation Musuem.....
I should have some route maps ready later tonight.
FYI: 600 Trivia bit: the Spruce Goose has such large wooden stringers I doubt a Honda 600 would fit inside. I was amazed.
