Big wheels for Honda N 600

Post by Mark P Hatten »

Halibrand cast aluminum wheels look period correct and super-cool on old street rods and muscle cars. Well, these old Rx7 wheels have a simular cast aluminum look and vintage Japanese heritage for a microcar. My Honda N600 tries on some new shoes!

Most Fiat wheels are 4 x 98. Using larger wheels even the Posatraction mags, Cosmic mags etc will accelerate wheel bearing failure along with wearing out the knuckles or OD of the driveshaft. The Posatraction mag wheel lug nuts are shouldered and may fit your application. I got a bucket full of 3/8 - 24 threaded shouldered Posatraction nuts from Bill C. some 15 years ago. Not a swell idea but I have rethreaded them for use on the n600. Early Civic is too big of a pattern - 4 x 120 I think. Also - wait till you hit a bump in the road with the low-profile tires, hee hee - your car will change lanes on a curve, there is no give with the low-pro's. I've been playing Honda 600's since 1979.
