Hello all I'm rebuilding my brakes right now and the master cylinder is leaking fluid into the car. I replaced all the seals and checked everything. Can someone that has had this issue please chime in and give me some ideas.
I don't see anythin that seems out of place.
Thanks!

Pull it apart and do it again -- did you nick the seal? is the bore perfect? perfectly clean?

Re: Master cylinder is leaking
It's a brand new brass sleeved cylinder, all the seals are brand new from one of the online guys that sells rebuild kits.
I've taken it apart twice now and double checked everything nothing is scratched or nicked.
Can someone tell me if all the seals are supposed to face in the same direction, so I can double check that as well.
Thanks
Feel free to call me If u have info that can be better explained over phone

Re: Master cylinder is leaking
Like I said on the other Honda talk group, I'm having the same problem. Rebuild the original one staring leaking so I ordered another kit and a re-sleeved MC and same thing again. I can bleed the brakes and have a full resivour and when I wake up the next morning the resivour is empty but brakes still work. When I push on the breaks they don't leak anywhere. But when it sits it leaks from the firewall and some fluid get inside the rest runs straight down from the base of the MC. Maybe the third time will be a charm????? Any help would be great getting tired of spending money on the same part!!!!!;-( Kurt

Re: Master cylinder is leaking
Has it been sleeved ? sometimes if the stock bore was polished oversize, the seals wont seal

Send it to me, I will check it and send it back. You need to measure the bore and piston. Honda uses only .003" clearance, but sometimes the sleever guys leave .008 to .015" clearance.
