tire chains for 145SR10

Post by bobs600honda »

Much progress has been made! New tires on powdered coated rims - gas tank pickup tube replaced and tank "Renu"'d! Carb rebuilt (hope it works!).
Can't wait to get back on the road.
While cleaning out the spare tire compartment in preparation to reinstall tank, I found two socks with what appears to be tire chains (and I am assuming for 10 inch tires)!
Anyone heard of tires chains for these microcars? With about 5 inches of clearance, I can't imagine chains doing any good! Too funny.

What about the condition of the socks? Are they in usable condition? Are they a matching pair?
But really, very neat that you found tire chains! I bet that'd be quite a ride in the snow!

I believe, though have not verified, socks are a match and are wool - good for winter!

Wow, those sound like some good socks! They must have been used in conjunction with the tire chains. It all makes sense now. Man, talk about a return on an investment. Free pair of wool socks? Sign me up!

Indeed. They are still for sale (possibly...) at bkhondaparts.com for $18.00. So, not the antique roadshow find after all.
