Reverse gear engagement

Hello all, trying to get reverse on my Z600 and suspect split pin for gear selector shaft is wrong. Can someone post me a pic or direct me to the split pin/bolt I need to use.
Shaft is not going far enough into trans to engage reverse gear. I am including a pic of what's there.

Kevin;
If you don't have a split pin go to the local Napa store and pick one up.
The size is 8MM Dia. by 19MM long.   Using a needle nosed vicegrip really helps, once in place squeeze it in with a channel lock pliers.

Kevin,
Your photo shows a bolt and nut. These will hang up on the hole and prevent engagement of reverse. Replace the bolt with a split pin.

A �real quick short term solution is to force a piece of hard rubber under the steel piece that comes off the trans and is supposed to be vulcanized to the outer part of the mount. I actually used a piece of 3/4" pine to prove that was the issue. I drove the car for a few mouths before I found a fix. Good rear mounts are impossible to find. I used a piece of big rig tire off the side of the hwy.  Sounds as oki as it gets but it has stood the test of time and has worked out great for me.

Yes, but there is still enough room to shift, the missing split pin is why it's not getting into reverse.
