Got a call from Tim Mings about my ill 600 yesterday. Turns out it wasn't an
oil pump failure, there was a problem with the distributor, the engine
stalled, and it decided then and there for the starter to lock up! Replaced the
starter, fixed the loose wire to the distributor, and she was ready to roll!
On the drive home, with my son and I in the car, we saw an indicated 80 MPH,
and the pedal wasn't even to the floor yet. Tim claimed she would do 90, and I
believe him!!
Tim is a great 600 mechanic, and a decent guy to boot. If you ever need and
service on your 600, do yourself a favor and contact him! NFI, and all that....
