Another question on my 72 600 coupe reassembly...
Somebody (me) managed to break the hatch glass years ago, and I've
got two questions
1. Is the glass curved or flat? If its flat I can easily have a
replacement made, but if its curved I assume I'll need to find a
Honda replacement.
2. Has anyone found a suitable replacement for the plastic/chrome
trim that fits around the hatch glass. Mine is junk, and the Honda
replacements I bought 6 years ago are for the sedan and obviously
won't work (never looked at them 6 years ago, just tossed them in the
parts box). Checked with Honda last week and the coupe parts are no
longer available. There may be a lesson in the there somewhere.
In the meantime I just need to finish wet sanding and then buff the
paint, then sand blast and paint the wheels and this beauty should be
ready to go.
Thanks
Ray

Re: Z600 hatchback glass
Hi Ray;
The back glass is available from a couple of people on the site. The
original does have some curve to it, and flat glass will not fit correctly.
You can try some of the major auto after market glass manufacturers like
PPG, but the best bet will be some one on this site.

Re: Z600 hatchback glass
Bill,
Thanks for the info. The aftermarket glass is not available, so I am
looking for both the back glass and the trim for a 72 Z600 (hatchback
glass).
If anyone in the group has some available, please email with cost and
contact information.
Thanks
Ray

I just got a e-mail from Tim Mings, he says he has Coupe hatch glass like
cord wood stacked for the winter. I copied this to him.

Re: Z600 hatchback glass
Bill,
I haven't heard anything from Tim and don't have his email address.
He can contact me by email at rhamman2@.... I'm also looking
for a nice "Coupe" emblem for the rear sail panel. One of mine is a
little nasty looking, especially with the nice new paint job.
Thanks
Ray
