Hi Jack;
You know both Ray and Miles suggestions are correct and keeping your
connections, bulb sockets and ground wires free of corrosion are all helpful
in keeping any older car on the road. Electricity is a unique item, it is
always looking for the quickest way to ground. And, if there is a
restriction at the point where it was terminating, then it will warm up the
insulation until it finds another way to get there. Causing higher voltage,
amps, and heat. All of which deteriorates your wires. Now, I normally look
up front, if there are fuses blowing in the mix there may be larger gauge
wire included in the problem.
Check the wires coming out of the engine case (Stator coils), look at
the black wire going into the voltage regulator, pull the fuse box (body
feed, it is a 45 amp fuse) and clean all the connections, pull the wrappings
off (save them) and see if any of the wires are sticking to the black wire
or to each other. They are indicators of high heat spots and can cause
major problems if not corrected. Hemmings Motor News collector car
magazine "SIA" or Special Interest Autos, had an article a while back which
told how to rebuild your wire harness. Your harness may need some
rebuilding and if you go to www.HMN.com you can look for the article. It
takes some time, but well worth the effort if you are plagued with
electrical problems.

Hi Harry;
Are you going to the National City Automobile Heritage Day show? 3 Aug 03. I would hate to be the only Honda 600 that shows up again.
