Reguarding misfire

Bill,
I checked the cam chain, and it goes about 1/2 way to the F mark
when the cam starts to move, so I am assuming that it is about 1/2
worn. I did adjust the vacume advance unit to give it less advance,
and it seems to be about 80 percent better. Could the springs in the
advance unit be weak? Anyway, thanks for your advise, I think that I
am going to take out the plate and check to make sure all is ok in
there.
