I think Miles could give a better description of the necessary tools, press,
alignment systems necessary to perform the job. It has to do with pulling
them apart, and putting two rods, center bearings, end bearings back
together for a balanced crank shaft. There are plenty of used crankshafts
around to pull apart. It is finding enough good parts left to make good
ones.
