Which dealership in the Chicago area did you get it from? I lived in the northern Suburbs for many years, and was able to secure some parts from Pauly Honda in Libertyville. Surprised the car was rust free, the Chicago winters were not kind to cars!

will need a repaint due to heavy cover rubbing on it for 18 years.
Catylitic converter rotted through. Basically a rust free, clean
project. I hope to have it running by the weekend. I'm sure I'll be
visiting here often for help and advise.

Thanks for the welcome. I bought the car from the man's wife-he
passed away. The car was sitting at his house since 1986. I'm not
sure which Honda dealership he was sales manager at-he lived in
Mundelein, as do I. I think the car came from out west when he
bought it. His mechanics supposedly went through the whole car for
him-but he didn't drive it much because he was scared of it's small
size on these roads around here! Yet he wanted to keep it. I've been
all over this car-it's clean everywhere. I got it running today. It
fired right up. I spent 3 weeks taking things apart and cleaning
them before I fired it. It won't idle without the choke on. I'm
going to fiddle with the carb tomorrow, but if I can't get it right,
I'm going to try to find a rebuilt one ASAP. Once it's roadworthy,
it's going to the paint shop. It needs TLC and a lot of detail work-
but when I saw this car, I had to have it. I've never done one like
this, so I think it will be a fun project. I'm sure I'll be bugging
you guys like all the newbies for info, but please be patient. I'm
just trying to get one more of these little jewels on the road again.
