brake question

Post by nicholas_riopelle2001 »

While driving my 600 today, my brake pedal went 1/2 way to the floor
when applied. I thought I broke a brake line, but no loss of fluid
anywhere. Brakes stop poorly now, and pedal does not (creep to
floor) when constant pressure applied. Engine does raise rpm
slightly when brake pedal is pumped, but returns to normal right
afterwards. Any help in diagnosing this would be a great help.

appears that you have a vacuum leak in the power
booster.

--- Would this be most likely the diaphram in the booster, the one
that goes out a lot, and would this be why my brake pedal makes a
clunk noise when depressed?
