Does anyone have any alternatives to the coil?  There must bo other coils out there that work in a similair fashion to the honda.  Anyone looked into this?  How about duel coils....

I recently called into a Motor Bike service centre and asked them.
I got a 2nd hand coil from a Honda CB900 motor bike, that is suitable.
The bike was a twin cylinder air-cooled motor that had points (not
electronic ignition).
The size of the coil is about the same, with the mounting points the
same distance apart as the N/Z 600.
The best part is the spark plug leads are easily replacable. It came
with copper wire core leads, that push into the end of the coil
housing and are held in place by screw on collars.
The spark plug scokets on the ends of the leads screw on/off and are
designed to push onto the threaded end (screw) of a spark plug, so
they won't vibrate off.
So, see if you can find a local Motor Bike service centre (that deals
with Honda), show them a coil, tell them it's driven by points and
you should be able to find something similar.

Sorry, no. It was 2nd hand, taken off an old bike. There only a brand
name on the coil (I can't remember what it is, and its at home, not
here with me).

Agreed. If it came with a bracket I'd buy it. I'm still looking for a coil
bracket BTW if anyone has a spare one.

If you still have your old coil there is a how to repair your old coil in
the photos section of the anzhonda600owners group site. I have only had one
that I couldn't repair and run.
