timing chain

rebuilding the motor on my z600.anyone have advice on installing the
new chain without a chain riveting tool? can i pean over the pin ends
with a punch & hammer? pins are hard steel.

Thats exactly how I did it. Be sure to back up the
opposite side of the link with a bigger hammer though.

IF your talking about the stator puller, then yes, contact Miles he is making them.  Or, go to your local Honda dealer and talke to one of the techs, some one may still have the tool and is willing to loan it to you.
