Miles is so right;
    It's not so much getting the part made or finding people that want to do the work. It comes down to how many. I have talked to several companies about making lenses, all say it is not a problem, but they want a minimum run of 1000 parts. And, I have to pay for the tooling and set up fees. So, the initial cost is 6K for tooling and set up for a left and right brake light lens. Then add an additional $15.00 a lens and don't forget the minimum run of 1K each.
Outlay is $36K, now divide that by the number of Honda AN600's left on the road. With my list of Honda 600's on the road totaling about 250 the math does not give a good pay back on the out put.
    Recently I had the 3 Heat Exchanger gaskets for Sedans built after 1 Apr 71 and all Coupes. Ready to install Honda Part numbers 18412-623-670, 18435-623-670 and 18456-623-670.   For almost the same price Honda was selling them in their last book, which came out in 1996. Keeping prices to the lowest level is the goal and allows Honda 600 owners the capability of keeping their Honda 600 on the road.

Last week I spoke with a sales rep/ engineer at a plastics company that I do business with frequently about making tail light lenses for the N600. Tooling cost $3,000 to $4,000, $2 - $3 per part when running 100 left and right. Probably not a bad deal but that's a lot of money to try to recoop.
N600 trunk latch.......I'm considering having some laser cut out of aluminum but I need a good part to make a pattern from. A broken part will work fine if all the parts are there. Can anyone help with this?

I'm not sure if the he (the engineer) was planning to add the clear lens to the red or if he was planning to incorporate the serrations into the red lens like most tail light lenses on other cars.

Hi folks. Has anyone looked into 73 Civic parts to see if some of the parts will interchange? Front brake pads, calipers, master cylinder? The pics look similar but I haven't made it to the parts store to take a closer look.

The 1973 Civic did have a few parts which it shared with the 600 (rear brake cylinder and front turn signal lense come to mind immediately). The 73 Civic had 12 inch wheels. The 1973 Civic was the first year for the Civic in the US and while it was a popular car, it did have some flaws. Honda got it right by 1974 and they also changed the engine size from 1157 to the very popular 1200 cc.
The problem I have found with trying to use 73 Civic parts is that they are harder to find than 600 parts. Starting with the 1974 Civic model year, only a few of the Civic parts had anything in common with the 600 (the front turn signal lense is the only thing which comes to mind on the 1974 Civic ..... but I could be wrong). By 1975, I don't recall anything which was a match for the 600.

Tom and James;
J.C. Whitney sells a wide verity of weather stripping, I have found the "round" bulb type to be hard on the doors and hard to close. The "diamond" shape bulb works better and has a nice fit all the way into the door jam. JCW calls it a "half bulb" for trucks. Or number 3 in the pictured weather strips.

Bill, that's true. You do have to slam the door a little harder for it to close good.
I noticed that but didn't know anything about it so went with what had been recommended but full bulb worked so good it satisfied me.
But nothing wrong with better.
