The rectifier is bolted to the bottom of the battery tray, which is bolted to the body of the car, and is therefore grounded. Please see the bottom of my page http://www.honda600coupe.com/fused_wiring_cleanup.html
Your aluminum battery tray looks non-stock but that's not an issue. Put a meter between that bolt and the (+) side of the battery and see if you get 12 volts. If so you're grounded. Could you post another, wider view of the area? Thanks.
