z600 coupe rear winshield install?
I just finish installing my rear glass winshield. I remember there was screws on the outside to hold down the glass, is that normal or somone gettho rigged it? also where can I find the moldings to cover up the edges?
Re: z600 coupe rear winshield install?
The Z600 rear window was held in place with an adhesive. No screws were used. I don't know where to locate the chrome-looking plastic which went around the window. Someone else on this group may be able to help.
good luck,
Dale

Was it chrome-looking plastic, or chrome? And how did it attach anyway? Unfortunately the parts catalog does not elaborate. I personally have hardly ever even seen it. Can someone that actually has that shiny stuff around their hatch window please chime in?

hi the trim around my rear window was plastic with a chrome inlay. when i removed some it was like the trim that was available for putting around wheel wells to chrome them out. they were L shaped and chrome on one side of the L shape and adhesive on another side. idon't know if this stuff is still made but it would be worth a try if you could find some... say a jc whittney??? dean

Might try an automotive upholstery shop, I was at one earlier this week an they had a wide variety of similar pieces.

The strip on my cars are original and are a chrome-plated plastic. The strips wrapped around the inside of the rear window and are held in place by the window. The window adhesive used by Honda (on my coupes) was one which dried hard and was not pliable.
