Brake re-sleeving

Post by lyletrudell »

I was looking at my box of pitted wheel cylinders and master cylinders today.
I have tried to find new ones.....
I was thinking about re-sleeving mine with brass, but to setup on 1 or 2 parts is not worth it.
Maybe if we got enough people together to do a group rebuild.
It might be worth me doing it.
Or maybe see how much Apple will do 30-50 wheel cylinders for?
They charge $50 for one part.
If we could get the price down to $35 it would be great. http://www.applehydraulics.com/brakes.htm
Then use silicone fluid and it would be the last rebuild you would ever need!
Any thoughts?

I could also make stainless steel pistons........
