need to drop engine out of sedan, any hints?

Post by tgm_enterprizes »

I am sure I have done this 25 years ago, but don't recall anything other than the 2 bolts inside the car and the 2 in the front corners of the subframe.
What's the easiest way to get the suspension loose? (seems like I unthreaded the tie rod ends before).
Thanks for any hints

I am looking for the tool used to take the flywheel off for the 600 sedan. I need to buy barrow or get the measurements to have one made. I have an out standing machinist that lives close by.

It is my understanding that an engine oil drain plug for a VW Toureg will work as a tool. You have to put a spacer shim in between it and the crank as it's not quite long enough.
