Well Lyle, I chopped and modified mine, so not looking for much original now. But one part I would like to get re-zinked is the brake booster which you didn't mention. So what all do you have in you vehicle collection.

I was going to chop up and modify my coupe into a custom/faster car. But after doing some research, these early Honda's are really rare. I would like to keep my 1972 Pop orange coupe stock.
Some stuff has rusted and lost it's original coatings.
Like most 70's cars, Honda used a Zinc chromate coating on steel parts.
Between my 2 coupes and spare parts I have some really good stock parts that look great.
I want to get a list of parts that are zinc plated and get them re-coated as needed.
Here is a list of Zinc Chromate parts I have and need re-done:
* Hood latch assenbly.
* Distributor cover * Oil filter cover * Clutch cable bracket * Throttle cable bracket * Hose clamps.
* Some bolts/screws I would like to get a list of all parts that were factory Zinc or silver coated.
Any imput from the folks who have owned or worked on these cars back in the day would be appreciated. I would like to make my coupe look like it just rolled off the show room floor.
Any Pictures or imput on original coatings would be graet.

Things I still have, women not included!!
I have a modified 1970 Opel GT that I had as a parts car when I was 19, now 51 and my GT is now rebuilt and a fun daily driver. A 1959 TR-3 that I have had for 25 years and is totally restored and a fair weather driver. A enduro racing go-Kart 100cc Yamaha that keeps me thinking I am still young and competitive....not.
A 2006 750 GSXR same thing, don't want to get old.
A Kawasaki KDX 220 dirt bike that I don't race anymore but enjoy fast trail riding. A Honda 600 Coupe (with 36HP)on a rotator in my shop, why I have no clue!

My collection consist of one Honda 600 coupe (I have had ten or so 600 coupes) a 64 Honda 150 Dream, 1970 Opel Gt (modified) I have won lots of shows with it and owned it for 25 years. 1973 Opel GT,1972 Datsun 510 (race car),1968 VW Squareback , 1974 VW Bus,1970 Ranchero,1978 Corvette Anniversery Edition L82 4speed,and I just bought a 1974 BMW 2002,it should be delivered any day. I also collect antique Jukeboxes,have way too many of those. I like your 1959 TR3. I work on a lot of British cars and really love them. I had a Bugeye once and an MGBGT.

Nice car collection and your adding another cool car BMW 2002.
You have a lot of experience with the Honda 600, owning 10 coupes.

Lyle, let me ask you this? Have you ever driven your Honda 600? Because I have to say that out of hundreds of cool cars I have owned,that the Honda 600s were about the most fun to drive. And no doubt I am a car guy. I run my classic car shop,go to lots of car shows and events ( I guess I never got a real life). But I really enjoy it. I love working on classics and get paid to do it. As far as experience with the Honda 600s,I have rebuilt all the ones I had and have a few customers with them that i work on, so some experience,but not an expert. We have Bill and a few others on this site for that.

Lyle, here are pictures of a Coupe engine bay re-done by a dealer local to me for their showroom. Whether or not each part is "correctly" zinced or not, I do not know.

Hi Steve, I just bought some other parts from Miles, I saw the zinc parts he did, nice!
The Blue coupe is a great restoration.
So here is the list so far:
* Brake booster, can only?
* Wiper bracket
* Hood prop rod?
* Brake reservoir bracket
* Oil filler cap?
* Hood latch assenbly.
* Distributor cover
* Oil filter cover
* Clutch cable bracket
* Throttle cable bracket
* Hose clamps.
* Some bolts/screws
* Horn, front black?
* Head light buckets
Any corrections or additions welcome.

Brad, I only drove my coupe around a small parking lot to make sure it was OK. So no I really have never driven one.
Saying it's the most fun to drive, is alot coming from a classic car guy. Now I am really looking forward to driving it!
OK power wont be anything, but I know it will handle great. Plus just keeping up with traffic will be an adventure and fun.
