Does anyone's wife hate their Honda 600?

Post by Mega »

Hi guys,
I'm just curious if anyone else gets much grief from their spouse for having such an "ugly looking little old car" sitting around.
I do drive it occasionally, so it doesn't just sit in front of our apartment all the time. I have a more modern care I drive most days. I also would never expect her to want to ride in it. In fact, I usually park it at the other end of our apartment complex so that she doesn't even have to look at it.
I'm just curious if anyone else has to listen to criticism for their Honda 600. Or better yet - has anyone had any experience with some girls actually liking their Honda?
Maybe I just need a new wife.... he he he.

Hi there,
I am a woman AND I am the one that brought Honda 600s into the family. Now my dad and brother have the bug, too.

It is a common problem that women don't see what we see in our old classic cars. Some do, but thats not very common. Especially when we drag home an old orphin thats been sitting in a field for 30 years. We see what it can be, they see a piece of junk and shake their head like we are crazy. One friend of mine that has a blue 600 Coupe, has to pry his away from his wife, she loves it.

Mike, I had the same problem.
My X wife hated some of my old ugly cars.
Then as life went on she started to like the cars and she decided I was old and ugly, so she got rid of me.
Not sure what you should do.

Women universally love the looks of my Z. It gets the same reaction as when you walk a small dog. Some gals enjoy riding in it, some don't; depends on how they react to it's retro sounds and bumpy suspension. One person's fear of riding in a shoebox is another person's thrill in the same activity. As the former owner of a couple of Goggomobils, I learned that micro cars have their own kind of sexiness: if the guy in the Lambo is projecting prowess, the guy in the micro is projecting a level of comfort with small, cute things... like babies! Many women find that attractive...
