Trying to upgrade my ignition

Hi guys.
I have a Honda 600 coupe with a nice rebuilt engine. I had problems getting a coil for it a while ago, and so I installed two old-style VW coils that are triggered at the same time by the points.
The big problem though is that having two big coils like that puts a lot more current through my points and is burning them up like super fast.
Since replacing the points with an electronic ignition pick up system looks really difficult, I've decided to keep using points and look for an electronic ignition that is simply triggered by points instead of a spinning magnet. That way, I can significantly reduce the current going through my points and make them last much longer.
However, I've never seen such and electronic ignition device. I've only heard stories of it's existence.
So, does anyone know of such a device? What it's called? Where to get it? I'm looking on Summit - my favorite parts supplyer, and their info is very limited.
Any info is highly appreciated.

I have also heard of the electronic ignition systems and I think some one hear has one so maybe he will ring in on this.  but it not  Mike O'Connor is selling the coils now for 155.00.  comes with the coil, wires and plug caps.
