Just wanted to thank everyone for the help along the way. It was very dumb of me too not check before, but the actual linkage was hitting the bottom of the hole in the firewall and wasn't allowing it to go far enough through. First thing that came to mind was the rear mount, and sure enough it's completely deteriorated. So if anyone has a REAR TRANSMISSION MOUNTS FOR SALE I'd really appreciate it. If not, I'll just have to make a solid mount.
