sun visors

I think what is being conveyed by Mr.. Singer is that the value of the Honda 600 Coupe or Sedan is far greater when it is kept to it's original as new condition.  Most modified cars are are made to the owners taste, not that it's good or bad, just not original.  Modified vehicles normally don't bring in the money original's do.  Sure the ultra modified, custom Hot rod or Rat rod will fetch a tidy sum, but car for car the original's bring home the bacon.  And by the time most custom vehicles are finished more money was spent on them than one that was put back to original like new condition.
