N600 Chargeing system

Post by galerep54630 »

Last night on my way home my chrg light came on. I had
radio,heat,wipers and lights on. This morring I checked it out and
found good batery 12.9v. pulled the brushes and they are 1/2" long.
Found one wire broken on the rectifer and repaired it. Started car up
and light still on and alt is putting out 13.5 at idle and goes up to
14.2 with RPM. Drove all day today with stuff on and still works fine
just the light wont go out. 1972 N600 with electronic regulator. what
should I do?

Hi Chris;
You should look at the Black wire going to your Voltage Regulator.
Check it in the connection, and the wire going into the regulator itself.
Some times the ground on these small cars is difficult to deal with.
