This should be an easy question. Where does the antenna go in my 1971
AN 600 sedan? When I bought it the radio and antenna wire were missing
and I've never seen an antenna outside in any picture of a 600. I'm guessing
its mounted horizontally under the dash. Anyone know?

Should be on the roof above the driver side door, imagine your
unlocking your driver side door if you were to bend over forward
towards the car it could poke an eye out! ahahah

On one of my cars, the antenna was on the body between the drivers window and the windshield. It came out parallel with that part of the body, until some butt-wipe bent it at a right angle.
On the other, I didn't have the car long, I think that it was behind the drivers door, straight up.
I had a coupe and later  bought a sedan. I hope that my information is correct about the radio antennas.

Unless someone filled the hole with steel & paint, then the antenna
goes in the hole above the pillar between the door and the left quarter
window. As far as I know every car had the hole. When the radio was not
fitted a grey or white rubber plug filled the hole.
