Hi all,
Continueing down the vein of the later model carbs that fit our 600's,
I have a few ideas of my own...
I would like to remove the mecanical fan and replace it with a puller
electric type, I would like to then use the free pully on the side of
the engine to mount one of those Coke can sized GM one wire
altenators to the engine (bye bye voltage regulator, ect...) I plan
on doing some custom shroud work with some aluminum sheeting and
having it polished to match the valve covers....Since I have no
exhaust manifolds, I am thinking of having some custom ones made. I
am at a loss as what to do with the brakes.
Also, I had a 1989 CRX d15 engine. Sold car to teenager down street
who replaced engine with JDM B16a. He has engine trans axel and
computer for the d15. (CHEAP) Just curious if anyone has ever
measured to see if the engine will even fit in the bay of the Z. I
saw some photos of a 1.5 litter rear wheel drive engine that someone
had done and thought that it might work...(I know that there will be
alot of welding involved to mount the engine as the mounts are
TOTALLY different.) If I was able to change it all out to the CRX
engine, I would use the brakes ect from the CRX as well.
Just curious if anyone has kicked this thought around themselves or
has actually seen one.
