I need some information about this. In bit of haste, I took off the
black plastic cap from the external "magnetic switch" on the
starter motor. I wanted to replace the projecting screws because
they are all rusted. But I don't see any mention of disassembling
the "magnetic switch"! Did I just wreck it by opening it?
I have a cross-section drawing of it, and I think I can put it back
together, but is this ok?

Hi Jeff;
Yes, if you didn't cut one of the wires then it should go back together
with out a hitch. However if you did, then you will have to solder it back
in place. Not a hard task, but one that needs to be done.
