Perhaps the weatherstrip had already been replaced on the left side of
the car. It just pops off of the body. I have a friend that bought a
1989 Civic hatchback for the engine and is junking the body. I removed
the weatherstrip from this car as it looked similar to the one on the
left side. I pinched it together and had to cut a piece out (I joined
it together with crazy glue) I had to bend the closer mechansim a bit
but it's a good fit. Thanks for any and all input.
