Gas Tank

I took off the gas tank on my 72 coupe to find a LOT of holes in the
gas tank and very rusty on the top haft. I looked into doing it my
self but looks to be a bit big of a job for me. I dont see how a chain
or gravel will work to get the rust out becuse of the baffles that are
in the tank. Has anyone used MOYER FUEL TANK RENU for restoring there
gas tank. Is there any west coast people that do restores to gas
tanks? or does anyone have a good one for sale..

Did you see if Honda still has one in stock? There was 2 different
ones for Coupe. One has bolts in the top back flange the other has
bolts from underneath as I recall, they don't interchange very well.
17500-623-670 is the early style up to serial #1005966
17500-623-671 later style from serial #1005967 up

Just called honda and no. no longer in stock...DARN but a good idea.

Where are you loc.? And which type do you need. I have a coupe in storage for parts and I think the tank is OK. Let me know if you are still looking. JC

i am in Oregon and the one i need is the one that has top bolts on
the back where the spare is and the front bolts under the car.
The only problem is i dont want to have to clean and line it...if
i have to do that i will just send it in. What is the price?

Miles,
They will inter change, the issue many forget it that one as the nut retaining clips attached to the tank flange, where as the other doesn't.
