AZ 600 rear bumper re-chrome

just tried researching the re-chroming of bumpers in the archives, but don't find much. has anyone found a reliable chrome shop that they can recommend? I HAVE seen a bunch of online chatter that shows the bumper boys in L.A. are spotty at best..now that Rhonda's paint is done I will be sending out the real bad parts. any ideas appreciated. thanks

I had both bumpers on my 600 Coupe rechromed by the Bumper Boyz about 8 years ago. They did a pretty nice job on the chrome, and they straightened out the various dents and bends in the bumpers too. The chrome is holding up very well after all of these years (the car is garaged year-round). It took about 3 weeks to get done, if I remember correctly.

If you're near the San Gabriel Valley, try El Monte Plating Co, XXX-XXX-XXXX. I've had several items re-chromed by them and I've been very satisfied. They're not cheap but less expensive than another estimate I received. They're a family owned business and I enjoyed doing business with them. They also do zinc plating if you want to spruce up some of you engine bits like the bands and clamps that secure the hoses, etc.. Steve P.
