Mings' Coupe sells at Barrett Jackson

Post by KathleenW »

This just in:
A Coupe with a complete mechanical restoration by Merciless Mings just sold for $27,500. Seems low to me! If you saw his engine at the Peterson Museum last year, I think you'll agree.

Seems WAAAYYYYYYY High to me unless it was all original tires, paint, interior, exhaust, battery, battery cables etc and NOT a restoration... heck even the distibutor cover has a big scratch on it. Dont get me wrong its a beautiful car but more like 10k in my opinion....

You're right, the deviations from stock means it isn't a 100 points car.  Still a beauty.
Now, I missed the factory fog lamps (auction hype?).  And if the engine has 35K on it, why a mechanical restoration?

Thats what they told me back in 82 when I bought a 57 Chevy convertible for 7500.00. Sold it 15 years later for 37,000. Its only worth what someone will give for it!

Remember - a successful auction means that two people want something real bad. (This is different than why a small remote town can't only have one successful lawyer . . . )
Anyone remember what Roth's sedan sold for? I think it went for $60k and I saw one page where it is now for sale at less than $35k.

Well, post some PICS of it, maybe some details of it, maybe a link to information about it!
I'm looking for one but I'm not going to pry the info on it out of you!!
Thanks

Create a profile at GarageCity, put lots of blog entries with photos. (You can have one photo per blog entry right now.)
Check out my rough profile:

Then post ads to CraigsList and/or eBay with a list back to your detailed profile.
