clips on handles

can anyone tell me what they use to get circlips and handles(hand cranks)off the 600 doors. Got a new set and i am wondering how to attack it without damaging vinyl and plastic ring.thanx

There's an old trick in the auto body industry which may or may not work as our clips have rounded ends. I personally use a small flat blade screw driver (not like eye glasses repair) and force the clip off.
The auto body way is to use an old rag slid between the crank and the plastic escutcheon, work the rag til the clip comes off.
