Is there a new, bolt-on replacement master cylinder for the coupe? My current mc is 5/8 but I will consider whatever works. Please advise with make and model. Thanks much.

Re: master Cylinder replacement?
I got the master cylinder for my sedan from Mike O'Connor a few years ago. Not sure if the coupes are the same, but he also has rebuild kits.

Re: master Cylinder replacement?
You mean rear wheel cylinder?
The 71 coupes came with 5/8 wheel cylinders then 11/16"
USA sold cars only ever had 3/4 or 13/16 master cylinders and I have never seen a retrofit replacement that was just *bolt on*. Occasionally you will see a VW master that has been installed but thread pitch on the brake line nuts are wrong as well as bubble type fitting.
