The brake lights on my 70 sedan have stopped working, I have a 3rd led brake light wired in at the brake pedal switch and It still works fine. I have checked the pressure switches on the master cylinder and they seem to be working also. All my other lights work fine including the tail lights and turn signals just no brake lights. I haven't checked the bulbs but plan to in the morning just to rule them out. I'm assuming that the problem is between the brake pedal switch and the brake lights somewhere but don't even know where to begin troubleshooting them. I have also checked the fuses and they are fine. Anyone have an idea what I should look for? I am planning on running a temporary wire from the bp switch to the lights for the time being so they work.

After carefully cleaning and rebuilding the 3 way switch with no luck I decided to take a closer look at the brake light switch on the pedal. I ended up finding the green wire had broken the solder connection and was shorting! So after resoldering the wire and cleaning up the switch it is working perfectly with the third light wired in.
