Brake problem

Last Sunday I removed my right front caliper,because it seemed to me hanging up a little. I made sure the slides we ok and the pistons free. Put it back to gather and the brake failure light comes on when the brakes are pushed hard..I've bleed all the brakes 3 times and there doesn't seem to be air in the system..If I pump the brakes and hold the pedal, the light won't come on. Maybe a bad caliper? Can rear brake adjustment make the light pop on? .I'm stumped at this point..Before I removed the caliper the light was never on

Drive it around a few miles then bleed it again.  I had the same problem and it took a while to get all the air out.

The proper bleed sequence should clear the air the first time around.  Always start at the furthest cylinder from the master cylinder...the right rear.  Move to the next, the left rear. Go to the right front and finally the left front.  Not following this sequence can leave air trapped in the system.

Don, you are absolutely correct!
But for what ever reason, air, a slip in the seal, dirt what ever, this intermittent light coming on (dash) finally went away after bleeding the whole system a couple of weeks later.  Still had good brakes the whole time, but every once in a while the dash light would blink.  No leaks, nothing stuck so my guess is air in the system.

The failure light should only light if one of the two systems have no pressure, possible maybe still some air in one, but if the switches both switch with heavy pressure then both systems must be working.
Maybe one of the switches is lazy and needs more pressure than the other to change over. I gave up with the two switches a long time ago, I fitted mechanical switches on the brake pedal for the stop lights.
You soon find out that you have a brake problem when you push the pedal down, it is a bit late to see the light at that point in time when you are trying to stop. That is always a problem with that type of warning device.
If the brakes work OK I would not worry.

Honda 600s only have 1 bleeder on the left rear wheel

Sorry for the error but I screwed up, I was thinking of the S800 Dual system.
As they say probably air still in the system.
